The General's Secrets

The king looked lovingly at his kingdom; he had spent all his life taking care of it. The people loved him, he was kind and charismatic, but the people who didn’t want him were because they wanted power. The general of the king’s army had been planning a conspiracy to get rid of the king. That way the kingdom would be left in the state of anarchy and he, the man who was always trusted by the king, would take over.

One night, the general stayed up late with his most trusted men plotting. Just then a young man by the name ok Jack heard them. Jack had just begun serving the king and he was a loyal man, he always told the truth. Jack ran to tell the king what heard. At first, the king didn’t want to believe that one of his most trusted men would betray him; but the honesty in Jack’s eyes was real and the king was able to apprehend the general just in time before his plan took place.

  1. That was really cool! I liked Jack the most out of all the people :D. I think it is because Jack was so honest, I would probably be afraid to tell the king thinking that he wouldn't believe me. That was a good story!
