Sweet Little Lies by Lauren Conrad
Publisher: Teen Harper.
Genre: Young adult.
Where I got it: A friend recommended it this book; she is a fan of the L.A Candy series.
One sentence summary: When tabloids release racy photos of L.A Candy star—Jane—she turns to her co-stars, but she has to know who are the ones who care for her and the ones who want her out of the way.
First sentence: Jane Roberts sat up on her white chaise lounge and gazed at the horizon between the vast blue ocean and the vast blue sky.
First chapter review: Jane makes a complete retreat from the limelight and finds herself with co-star Madison Parker at her condo in Mexico. She spends some days there at the beach, just trying to forget about everything. She is forced back into reality when a photograph manages to catch her after the photo scandal. She knows then that it’s time to face her problems and go back to her life.
Verdict: Great second book for these series. One that can’t be put down and I would definitely read it more than once.
Cover comments: It is and assortment of what seems to be Valentine’s Day candy because it is shaped in hearts with pink and white colors. They have short messages such as “love, kiss me and nice girl” maybe it is comparing the sweetness of the candy to how sweet some lies can be. Probably lies about love and friendship.
