Poetry Friday

My cousin

Is the best person
I could ever imagine.
The oldest and wiser,
She knows best and she really means
What she says.
Her advices are as valuable as gold.

Karla is her name.
Everyone calls her Kars,
Because she’s a spirit that loves adventures,
And lives life at full speed.
Not afraid of anything.

Nobody can ever dislike her.
Impossible to do that.
Bitterness fades away,
As if sugar was being poured.
She’s the pride and joy of most.
Like a golden trophy in the middle of the room.
She shines and glows.
Like a shooting star,
Flying across,
The dark night’s veil.

She lives far away,
And I don’t see much of her anymore.
Said she will come soon.
I hope she does.
Maybe we’ll have more memories at some point.
We’ll keep them from fading away into our past.
She’s older than me but age doesn’t matter,
She is,
And always will,
Be my favorite cousin.
